Catering

The College recognises the importance of good quality food which is nut free.  With this in mind  in September 2014 Sodexo, the world’s largest services company, won the contract to provide catering, vending and hospitality for Campbell College.  The contract was won following a competitive tender and is for three years.

All of the menus meet the Northern Ireland Food Regulations ensuring a healthy diet whilst they are at Campbell College.

To keep the children interested in the food on offer Sodexo will be holding monthly promotions such as a Taste of India and Squash Fest.

Up and coming events will include:

  • Hide and Seek games to win Q Bust tickets
  • Singing games
  • Master Chef
  • Man v Food
  • Spot the difference
  • Christmas Shop

The Dining Hall operates a cashless system with the use of "Smart cards". Boys can put money on their cards (cash or cheque) at the dining hall at break time. If a boy forgets his card the staff will issue him with a temporary card which will allow him to purchase lunch on that day.

The students have access to a range of facilities which provide both choice and enjoyment.  Boys may also bring a pack lunch.  The menus are changed weekly and reflect our commitment to healthy eating.  We are also able to cater for a range of dietary requirements.

Over 95% of the dishes Sodexo produce each day are made from scratch using the freshest, most seasonal ingredients brought from sustainable accredited sources.

Sodexo pride themselves on serving fresh and creative food that inspires, nourishes and maintains the health and wellbeing of pupils. Their breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, packed lunches and match teas are all treated with the same amount of respect and care.

It is hugely important to them that all their ingredients are fresh, safe and sustainably sourced.

That’s why they work with the best suppliers from across the UK and Ireland. They use 100% fresh meat, Freedom Food certified free range shell eggs, seasonal Red Tractor or GlobalGAP fresh fruit and vegetables, Fairtrade bananas, Marine Stewardship Council certified fish and seafood, Rainforest Alliance coffee and Red Tractor certified beef, pork, chicken, milk and cream. Their bread, cakes and biscuits are all freshly baked onsite.
