    Expectation…

    21 December

Christmas is a time of year full of expectation, a word that often evokes a sense of excitement and anticipation.   The Oxford English Dictionary definition states; Expectation - a strong belief that something will happen; a belief that someone will or should achieve something.  Belief is the key word in both these definitions and especially at Christmas. The excitement of expectation is what makes Christmas so magical for many of us. However, there are many times in life when things don’t live up to our expectation or for some of us, our expectation of Christmas may not a positive one for a variety of reasons.  It can be a joyous time and a difficult time of year and we reflect and think of everyone over the festive period.

As a College we have set five simple expectations that everyone can aspire to; go the extra mile, make every moment count, be the best you can be, respect everyone and work together in partnership.  Whatever Christmas brings may it be peaceful and may we all set expectations for 2018 that make us feel positive as we move into a new year.

Happy Christmas from all of us at Campbell College.
