Gap Students

Each year Campbell are fortunate to welcome a number Gap Year Students to our boarding department who are tasked with helping of the smooth running of the department as well as working throughout the College during the School Day.

Robbie Freebairn

New Zealand native (Hawkes Bay)

I chose to spend my Gap Year at Campbell based on great reports from friends of mine who had also been ‘gappies’ at CCB to see what all the fuss was about. So far I have not been disappointed. During the year, I hope to gain valuable life experiences and independence before going to University to study Commerce/ International Business and Finance. This summer, I will be taking advantage of being in Europe by travelling around with my fellow gappie Angus before being joined by my family.

Sporting wise, I enjoy basketball, rugby and cricket –which are all great sports to get involved with at Campbell.

Angus Keefe

New Zealand native (Hawkes Bay)

I hope to bring a lot of energy with me to Campbell. I am a huge rugby enthusiast both on and off the pitch. I hope that I bring a great set of skills to the P.E department as I look towards a career in Teaching (Physical Education). I will be travelling during school holidays and look forward to being joined by my family for some adventures.

Oscar Wyrzykowski

Australia native - New South Wales

I hope to spend my Gap Year at Campbell meeting new people, gaining valuable life experiences whilst broadening my mind.  Similar to the other gappies, I would like to spend my time off travelling. I feel I bring a lot of personality…as such, I would like for everyone to know that I am faster than Angus on the rugby field!! Looking forward to seeing if the CCB students can give me a run for my money!
