A busy weekend in Boarding

It was a busy weekend in our boarding department; with a themed dinner and a day trip to Portaferry. A huge thank you to all the staff who helped make it so successful, it was certainly a weekend to remember!

The dining hall was transformed into Mushroom Kingdom for the first themed dinner of the term for our boarders!  During the week boarders received their personalised invitations and on the evening were greeted by Special guests Mario & Luigi. Boxes of pizza and wedges were handed out, cakes decorated as mushrooms were baked for dessert, the walls were lined with Super Mario decorations and the sound track for the night transported our boarders into their own video game.

The excitement continued when the boys headed to the cinema on Saturday to see the new instalment of The Kingsman. However, the fun didn’t stop there, on Sunday a group of our boarders headed off in a packed minibus complete with volleyball nets, croquet set, bbq lunch and two dogs to Cloughey Co Down. On arrival the boys quickly got the volleyball net set up and the croquet lawn established and were given a run through of the rules - then they were off! After all of the activity the group sat down to a huge BBQ lunch before heading into Portaferry for ice creams and to admire the views. Silence reigned throughout on the journey home as most nodded off after their exertions on the lawn.

Another fantastic weekend in Campbell College Boarding, we can’t wait to see what this week has in store.
