Last week ten Year 13 students spent four days on the Oxbridge trip, attending events at both the University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, accompanied by Mrs Sarah Coetzee (Head of Careers) and Mr Chris Oswald (Vice-Principal).

The purpose of the Oxbridge trip is for students to learn more about studying at these institutions, including the process of applying and selection. Through staying in Colleges they were able to gain an insight into student life at Oxford and Cambridge, and they also explored future study possibilities through attending seminars in different subject areas.

In addition to attending the University of Oxford open day, and an open afternoon at Selwyn College, Cambridge, the students soaked up the atmosphere of these two cities, browsing for books to give them a taste of academic study at Blackwells in Oxford, and spending a civilised morning punting past the various Colleges and the Mathematical Bridge on the River Cam.
