School Uniform

Over the last few years we have been looking at how the College presents itself and as part of this process we have reviewed the current badging on our uniform. Our blazers, Junior School caps and sports kits currently carry the Boar’s Head which is an important part of our original College Crest and a symbol that the boys are very proud to wear. However, the current design of the Boar on our uniform does not do justice to the original Boar on our Royal Charter Crest. Over the last 12 months we have re-designed the Boar to match the original and held a series of focus groups with pupils and staff to look at the various design options for the uniform. We are delighted to reveal the ‘new look’ Boar’s Head design for our uniform following a final vote by staff and pupils. (See attached).

These changes to uniform will be phased in gradually as we run down stock and as pupils outgrow current purchases. Hence, there is NO REQUIREMENT for parents to purchase new uniforms unless they need to and we will be operating under a 2-3 year transition as we move to consistency across the board. Retailers will be selling the current uniform until stocks run out and so those buying new uniforms may not be able to access the new stock until such time as the current stock is finished. Please don’t worry as we will be allowing the two versions for the next 3 years.

We are also introducing a standard Campbell College hoody as an option for 2018. This is not part of the core uniform requirement and is not to be worn in school, however it can be worn to and from school and will be a useful item in the winter months. It is an alternative to the tracksuit top which is currently in use, and will remove the need for pupils to wear a variety of hoodies outside the College and ensure our pupils look smart outside the school gates as well as inside. Various kits for different sports will also be available through the usual platforms and communication about these will come from the specific departments.

We envisage by 2021 all our pupils will be wearing a uniform that does justice to our original College Crest and that every boy will be proud to wear.
