Swimming Success at Swim Ulster Schools Cup & Championships

    Campbell College Swimming Club continue to dominate the home front and had a successful day in the pool at “The Bangor Aurora” on Sunday 22 October 2017.

    The Intermediate team of; Paddy Johnston, Oliver Chamber, Oliver Creaney,  Finlay Stafford and Tommy Aitken fought of sfiff competition to lift the Ulster IntermediateTrophy.

    The Junior team of;  Matthew Hand, Jake Stafford, Dominic Allen, Michael McCann,  Mark Kelly and Toby Thompson had equally impressive swims to lift the Ulster Junior Trophy.

    The Junior and Intermediate teams won gold medals in both the Medley and Freestyle team relays.

    The best performances of the day were:-

    Paddy Johnston  who finished in first place in Intermediate 100m Backstroke and 100m Butterfly,

    Matthew Hand who finished in first place in the Junior 100m Breaststroke and 100m Butterfly.

    Paddy and Matthew will now present the Intermediate and Junior Cups to the school on behalf of the Swimming Club!

    We look forward to the Grammar Schools’ competition!
