Scholarships and Bursaries
Academic
Years 10, 11 and 12
Academic Bursaries will be available to Year 10 and Years 11 and 12 pupils for the academic year 2009/2010. The Year 10 bursaries will be granted to pupils who achieve the required standard in their internal examinations at the end of Year 9.
Those pupils currently in Year 10 wishing to be considered for Year 11and12 Bursaries must apply to the Headmaster not later than 30th April 2010 and, in addition, to the internal examinations will have to sit 3 ‘special’ papers (Maths, English and Science).
Years 13 and 14
Academic Bursaries are awarded as a result of high achievement in external examinations; in addition, Bursaries may be awarded to those pupils who are judged to have excelled in the fields of sport, music, the arts or a recognised vocational subject.
Music
Music Scholarships and Exhibitions for Years 8 and 9 are awarded following examination during Year 8, and awards for Years 10, 11 and 12 following examination at the end of Year 9.
Art
An Art Scholarship is awarded for Years 10, 11 and 12 based on continuous assessment throughout Year 9.
