Total Curriculum : School Trips

School trips, both near and far, play a big part in the life of the school. They are carefully selected to complement the curriculum at both Key Stages and follow-up work helps to place the trip in context.

Some of our favourite and regular destinations include:

• Exploris (the aquarium in Portaferry)
• Streamvale Open Farm
• Crawfordsburn Country Park
• The Ulster Museum
• The Tayto Factory
• The Ecos Centre in Ballymena
• Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park
• Belfast Zoo
• Down County Museum
• Ulster Folk & Transport Museum
• W5 in the Odyssey

The highlight of the Prep 6 and 7 year, however, is the residential trip. In recent years we have been to the Outward Bound Centre in Killyleagh, to Boreatton Park in Surrey and to Paris.
