Outstanding Contribution to the CCF
Every year the RAF Section of the Combined Cadet Force selects the best individual out of the 9500 or so cadets in the UK for the Sir John Thompson Memorial Sword. The College was delighted to learn that Alan Stewart, Year 14 Dobbin’s and Head of our RAF Section, was nominated and short listed for this prestigious award.
The competition for this award is particularly keen and although Alan was not selected as this year’s winner, he has been awarded a Sir Geoffrey de Havilland Flying Foundation Medal in recognition of his outstanding achievement to the CCF at the College.
Alan has been invited to accept his award at a ceremony at the end of June at RAF College Cranwell.
