Year 14 History Trip to Berlin
A group of seven Year 14 History students visited Berlin from 7th – 10th February. During their stay they visited a number of sites of interest including the Reichstag, a Cold War nuclear bunker and the House of the Wansee Conference – where the Nazis planned the Holocaust.
Also during the trip the group met up with some German students from the Liebnitz Obershcule in Berlin. Using the internet to work together, they prepared and took part in a reception and debate at the British Embassy in Berlin. The subject of the debate was the impact Web 2.0 is having on Politics. The debate was both informative and entertaining with the team arguing for the motion eventually winning.
Those involved in the trip found it a hectic but enjoyable and useful experience.
