Representing NI at the Mediterrean Open Rock-Climbing Competition
Jacob Haddock, Year 13 Dobbin’s, has recently achieved the postion of 1st in the National Rock Climbing competitions. At a recent event in Manchester, Jacob reached the finals of the GB trials and this Easter he will compete in the Mediterrean Open representing Northern Ireland.
As a relative new-comer to the sport (Jacob has only been competing for 18 months) Jacob’s level of success has even surprised him!
Rock-climbing requires commitment and Jacob spends a least four evenings a week practising and training for events. This together with his continuing AS studies makes Jacob a outstanding example of how to combine academia with recreational success.
