Campbell Pupil Wins Title Fight

Congratulations to Jason Gilliland, Year 12 Dobbin's. Jason won the CYP Boxing Youth Championships 2011 on Monday 21st March. He stopped his opponent in the first minute of the third round making him a Northern Ireland Champion. This was his first ever competition and he is the first Champion for his club, Castlereagh Amateur Boxing Club. In his corner supporting him on the night was his coach, Terry McCorran and John Lowey, World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist.

This is a remarkable achievement by Jason considering he is relatively new to the sport and he looks to have a very bright future in Boxing.
