Campbell College, an investment with a lifetime's dividend

Harry Potter Day-28th February 2011

The college held a “Harry Potter” day on Monday 28th February. 200 P6 pupils were invited from local primary schools including Andrews Memorial PS Comber, Londonderry PS Newtownards, Rathmore PS Bangor and Gilnahirk PS. The children experienced the “Sorting Hat” in Central Hall under the watchful eye of Dumbledore and Professor McGonagle, before going on an enchanted tour of Netherleigh Lake with Hagrid, watching potions being made in Science, making edible wands in Home Economics and taking part in a quiz in the library. The children then returned to Central Hall for a falconry display and were given a Hogwarts themed feast in the dining hall. They left shortly after having thoroughly enjoyed their day.

Charlie Gallagher, Year 12 Alden’s gave a superb performance as Harry while 10 Campbell pupils volunteered to give up their day off and act as guides on the day. Many thanks to all pupils and staff who helped.
