News: Jason Harvey - an elite athlete
Jason Harvey, Year 13 Dobbin’s, competed in the Celtic Games in Antrim and won silver in a very close 100m Hurdles, with a photo finish to the number two ranked hurdler in the UK. Jason is ranked 15th in the UK at Hurdles.
Furthermore, Jason competed in the AAA's Under 17 championships in Sheffield, England. He contested in the High Jump against 17 other athletes. He won a gold medal with another new personal best of 2.04m equaling the highest ever jumped by any U17 athlete in Northern Ireland (the last record was around 1981 by Darragh Murphy).
Jason is now ranked equal 1st in the UK at Under 17 level and has now been called into SINI (Sports Institute for Northern Ireland) as an elite athlete.
