News : The School Play 2006
A Christmas Carol
Campbell College Dramatic Society performed to a full house on Wednesday 6-Friday 8 December.
Student Director, Will McKee, takes us through the journey from the casting to final production:
The assorted cast of characters have not had it easy with their efforts to present a great production of this year’s school play and rehearsals have demanded a lot of their free time; Alex Ghionis in particular has been at every rehearsal in his attempt to learn the copious number of lines he has been afforded, however he is not alone.
Without the contribution of the Bloomfield Collegiate girls the play would seem a little peculiar to say the least, we have had enough problems changing Martha to Martin and Belinda to Benjamin. The girls from Bloomfield have taken on the main female characters and the characters that need to specifically be female in order for the play to work. Also, the grand dance scene wouldn’t have been as majestic with an all male dance cast!
We as a cast and crew have put a lot of effort in to the play in order to achieve perfection; and for perfection we need direction: a huge thanks to Mrs Liz McIlvenny for organising all the cast and keeping on track for the big night, thanks also to Miss Woods, Miss Logan and Miss Magreehan.
