Boarding

Boarding at Campbell is a life-changing experience which encourages independence, improves focus and fosters international friendships. Find out more about Boarding at Campbell College here.

We welcome boarders from all over the world in Year 8 (age 11) to Year 14 and currently have 156 Boarders who call Campbell their ‘home from home’

All applications will be processed by Mrs Leigh Crawford, lcrawford842@c2kni.net Telephone: +44 (0)28 90 763076 who will liaise with Mr Bert Robinson, Head of Boarding.

Mr Robinson will oversee all applications and is happy to offer any interested families a tour of the College or a Zoom call. You will also be provided with the opportunity to meet with the Headmaster, who, ultimately, is authorised to make available boarding places for each year group according to need.

Admissions must be contained within the School’s Total Enrolment Number as agreed with the Department of Education. Availability of places will, therefore, depend on the existing enrolment of the School at the time of application and the distribution of pupils across the different year groups.

All admissions are managed through our online portal via the 'Apply Online' button

Admissions Process

Campbell College uses an online admissions portal powered by OpenApply. This paperless system provides a more streamlined experience, allowing prospective parents to manage all aspects of their application from initial enquiry right through to enrolment, at anytime from anywhere!

You will be required to set up your own account via OpenApply, please take a note of your account login details and password for future use.

The application information required is as follows:

  1. Boarding Application Form;
  2. Copies of the applicant's last two school reports;
  3. A copy of the applicant's birth certificate AND a copy of their passport;
  4. A Reference from the applicant's present school (download reference form here);
  5. On satisfactory submission of all paperwork as listed above,  an online English Entrance Test may be necessary as part of the Admissions process. The College will advise accordingly;
  6. As part of the Admissions procedure, families are cordially invited to visit the school.  If this is not possible, the final element is an informal interview with the Head of Boarding held via Zoom.

Our admissions team are here to help should you have questions. Please contact Mrs Leigh Crawford via email: lcrawford842@c2kni.net or by telephone at +44 (0)28 9076 3076

Guardianship/Visa

Parents of International Boarders must nominate a guardian who resides in Ireland or the United Kingdom as part of the admissions procedure.

All students should have appropriate guardianship arrangements in place to allow them to be hosted outside the College during those times when the Boarding Department is closed for holidays, as necessary, during illness, when residency in a communal environment is not suitable, or for disciplinary reasons. This is an essential criterion for admission.  The College can supply details of guardian agencies used by current students if needs be.

Many international students will also require a visa and we would recommend that you visit the visa and immigration service website www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa to check the regulations. The College is a Tier 4 sponsor and will supply a CAS letter (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) to enable students to apply for a visa. This process is usually undertaken in June prior to the student joining in September.
