Our distance learning provision is now up and running via CCB Online.  As predicted, FireflyPurple Mash and Parentmail have been experiencing capacity issues and I know that many parents, pupils and staff were experiencing challenges accessing these this morning.  The main thing we ask of you is patience and understanding. We will be working to provide distance learning support on a consistent basis over the coming weeks, so teething problems on the first day should be seen in that context.  Thus far, Zoom has been coping well with demand and some senior pupils have already taken part in successful virtual lessons .

Please be mindful that our staff; teachers and support staff, are putting themselves on the front line to support our key workers and this must not be underestimated.  Hence, I urge parents to try to make alternative childcare arrangements where it is safe to do so.  Coming into school should be a last resort, as we follow the call from the NHS to ‘Stay at Home’.

General Statement:

The College continues to follow the advice from the relevant agencies; Public Health Agency, World Health Organisation, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, NHS, Boarding Schools’ Association, Early Years, Education Authority and the Department of Education. We have established a Core Team who have drafted our contingency plans and meet regularly to assess the latest developments and adjust our actions as advised and appropriate. We will be communicating regularly via Parent Mail and via this page.
