Year 8 Induction

Jonathan Anderson, Headmaster of Campbell College Belfast, an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 11–18 offering GCSE and A-Level education in Northern Ireland.

Welcome from the Headmaster

At Campbell College, Year 8 marks the beginning of a transformative journey.

It’s a time when boys step into a community where they are known, supported, and inspired. From the classroom to the sports field, every experience is shaped by a deep sense of belonging and a culture that nurtures character and confidence.

We don’t expect pupils to fit a mould - we help them discover who they truly are.

I look forward to welcoming your son into the Campbell Community and walking alongside him as he begins this exciting new chapter.

Welcome from the Head of Key Stage 3

"A warm welcome!

You have found your dedicated page on the Campbell website where you, or your parents, can find out more about the College, explore the campus, ask questions and meet some important people. We will update this webpage with new information, about what school will be like next year, as it becomes available.  So please keep an eye on it, even once the holidays start.

We hope that you are looking forward to getting started at Campbell College. We will provide further induction in August which will help you with everything you need to get started, and give you an opportunity to meet with more of your classmates.

There is no single type of Campbellian, you will all follow different paths.  The three things we hope for you as a student are that you feel safe, that you are happy and that you work to the best of your ability."

Welcome from the Head of Year

Welcome to the Campbell College Class of 2025! My name is Mr Styles and I will be your Head of Year for Year 8. I have been at the College for thirty years; I think it is a great place and I hope you will too.

Along with your tutors we will help to guide you through the next important chapter of your lives. Your tutor is there to help you with any issues or troubles, no matter how small. We are very much looking forward to meeting you on June 16th and starting the process of getting to know you.

Campbell offers a range of excellent opportunities. It may be sport, music, drama, Cadet Force etc. So, try new things and create new friendships for life. All we ask is that you come with a can-do attitude, get stuck in, and try your best in all that you do.

Find out More!

Campbell College first opened its doors in 1894 thanks to a legacy left by linen merchant Henry James Campbell. The stories of all those who have contributed to the life of the College are embedded in the fabric of this historic building. This unique heritage is celebrated by everyone in the Campbell Community and it is respected through traditions that remain today, such as our Pipe Band and our House system.

Below you will find some further information; we hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about the College.
