Charities Committee

The Charities Committee is comprised of pupils from both the Junior and Senior Schools and is led by Mrs Edel McInerney. Each year the pupils and staff vote for their chosen Charity of the Year and the winner is adopted for the School year as the College's nominated charity.

Charities represented over the years have included NSPCC, Marie Curie and this year the College is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.  The Charity Team is responsible for overseeing all the charitable activity for the College and their incredible passion and hard work has meant that the College raises on average £8,000 per year for the chosen charity.

In addition to the Charity of the Year, the College encourages many additional charity events throughout the year including the annual Christmas Charity Fair, the annual Daffodil Tea, Movember, plus regular bun sales, Glow in the Dark Runs, Colour Runs and more for numerous other charities that are close to the pupils hearts and resonate with our staff too.

In 2018 the pupils produced an impressive video to raise awareness around mental health issues for teenage boys encouraging boys to speak up and 'start a conversation'. This was in support of  NSPCC.
